A major sign your commission has been started is a status other than 'awaiting points/money' or 'prep stages'
You don't pay me until I get the preliminary sketch just right. After it is approved and paid for, I will give weekly updates as to the status of your commission throughout its drawing process.
- In addition, I love to make detailed images. Therefore, if your character is very detailed and intricate, the commission will take a little longer.
so last night I applied for a job at Chipotle. I did this for 3 reasons.
1 = My hours at Kroger suck. All I get are closing shifts and I am refused any sort of day or morning shifts because im the newest employee in my department. In my opinion I think that's entirely unfair. For example, let's just say no matter what my availability was 6 am to 4 or 5pm each day. I would get less hours, despite that open availability, because I'm unable to close. I understand Kroger using seniority to help its current employees feel empowered and in control of their jobs, but for newer employees who have come into Kroger looking for a nice, safe, and reasonable place to work (at least for me) this method is one-sided.
2 = I want and need to learn how to better cook and prepare food for myself. Once I see the Eating Disorder Dietitian on the 26th more than likely theyre gonna tell me I need to cook dinners and other meals for myself in order to get back on track with my recovery. I can't really do that If I'm working 1-9 five days a week and limited to either buying some frozen dinner at the store or packing a quick lunch of 3-4 day old leftovers.
3 = Based upon what my friends Drew and Jalen have told me about their jobs at Chipotle, it sounds like a fast paced but fun place to work. They've each been working for Chipotle for at least a year (which I have to say is quite a while for a young adult in the food industry) and everything they have ever told me or posted publicly about their stores has been positive. I trust these 2 entirely, so if they say that I would love working at Chipotle and that I should apply, you better bet I will.
Now if Kroger actually agrees to give me morning shifts and I can have the time to dedicate to my Eating Disorder recovery, then woot! I'll stay. If not, I believe its time to move to another department within Kroger or leave the store all together.
Thanks for reading. What do you guys think I should do?
